‘Hamlet’ takes to the stage!

          July 18th, 2013

Carousel Theatre has come alive with more energy and excitement this week! Theatre school classes have begun downstairs and rehearsals for Hamlet continue to be a journey of learning, development and fun.  There is just over a week until Hamlet’s opening night which means the cast and crew have been working harder than ever to bring the show to performance level.

Rehearsals have officially been moved outside to the official stage where Hamlet will take place. The cast couldn’t be more thrilled to rehearse their scenes in the sun (let’s hope it stays sunny!) and get a better sense of the blocking and spacing. Moving from the rehearsal studio to the stage is an exciting transition because it makes everything feel more ‘real’. While moving the actors to the stage was easy, it was a little bit harder moving all the props. Little by little though and with everyone’s help, we are slowly transfering everything to the stage!
