Information for Teachers

Welcome Teachers!

There is something for everyone in our upcoming season at Carousel Theatre! Click here to download our 2012/2013 Brochure of Young People and Educators.

Our Mainstage Season of Literary Classics begins in December at the Waterfront Theatre with our critically acclaimed production of The Wizard of Oz. In February, We’ll also see the return of Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia in a co-presentation with our friends at Axis Theatre of A Brown Bear, a Moon, and a Caterpillar: Treasured Stories by Eric Carle where puppets come to life under black light.

March brings much excitement with the Canadian Premier, originally presented by the National Theatre of Great Britain, Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat! With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with but what will happen when mom comes home!? To wrap up our season we finish with the World Premier of Arthur: Boy King by Jeff Pitcher, who adapted Carousel Theatre’s production of Peter Pan and The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood. Arthur: Boy King is the perfect show for your older students.

Join us for an adventure. Live theatre encourages young people to develop critical and creative thinking. It fosters imagination, and a love for the arts – something that will stick with a child for a very long time…even after the play is over. There’s something for every age group this season at Carousel, so book your classes early before they sell out!
