March brings much exuberance as we explore the importance of community with the Canadian Premiere of the charming musical Busytown, based on the book What Do People Do All Day? by Richard Scarry, perfect for Grades Pre K-3. This production focuses on themes of cooperation, community, and friendship.
Wondrous Tales of Old Japan transforms the Waterfront Theatre stage in April. Japanese folklore, kabuki theatre, taiko drumming and puppetry combine in this storytelling fusion for Grades 3+. Wondrous Tales of Old Japan explores four traditional Japanese stories: Momotaro: The Peach Boy, Urashimataro: The Enchanted Fisherman, Yuki Onna: The Snow Woman, and Hanasaka Jiji: The Old Man That Made the Trees Bloom.
Join us for an adventure
Live theatre encourages young people to develop critical and creative thinking. It fosters imagination, and a love for the arts – something that will stick with a child for a very long time…even after the play is over. There’s something for every age group this season at Carousel, so book your classes early before they sell out!
We would love to hear your feedback! Please consider filling out the teacher questionnaire.
We invite you to explore community, folktales, and theatre magic with us this season!
