Introducing TSP’s Love’s Labour’s Lost
Amidst renovations and office cleanup, Carousel Theatre for Young People won’t be slowed down: everybody is gearing up for the Teen Shakespeare Program’s 2014 production of Love’s Labour’s Lost.
This year, our teen actors explore the wit and romance of a comedy entangled with the follies of forbidden love. The King of Navarre and his lords swear a three-year oath of scholarship, simplicity, and the avoidance of women but a visit from the Princess of France and her maids has them scrambling for loopholes in the contract.
Wit, wordplay, and wayward scholars stay true to Shakespeare’s signature flair for the absurd. And in typical TSP fashion, this year’s production has gone retro—bell-bottoms and all—with a 1960’s spin that will be sure to bring a big splash of colour to this Summer of Love.
Sit-in to this FREE all-ages show from July 25 – August 9 to see the stars of tomorrow on our stage today! Seating is limited, so we encourage you reserve a seat to avoid disappointment.
Running Time: 90 minutes including a 15 minute intermission.
Teen Shakespeare Program leads the way at the start of a new season here at Carousel Theatre for Young People. Brimming with energy and new and familiar faces alike, production is humming along on costumes, sets, and more. And with our teen actors—scripts in hand—counting down the days to the first rehearsal, we can look forward to even more inspired activity and learning.
