Non – Equity Stage Manager needed for The Lawyer Show

          Carousel Theatre and Touchstone Theatre are seeking an experienced non-equity stage manager for their annual fundraiser, The Lawyer Show. The Lawyer Show raises funds for Touchstone Theatre and Carousel Theatre for Young People, both registered charities.

          This year’s production is SPAMALOT, co-directed by Katrina Dunn and Carole Higgins. SPAMALOT  features a fabulous cast of 20+ lawyers from across the Lower Mainland and will run at the Waterfront Theatre from May 1-4, 2013. Rehearsals are part-time, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings from 7-10 pm beginning February 21, 2013.

          Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

          • Running  rehearsals and recording blocking
          • Supervising the assistant stage manager, dresser and followspot operator
          • Liaising with the co-directors as to rehearsal needs
          • Attending three production meetings
          • Calling performances

          The ideal candidate will have previous stage management experience, strong organizational skills and a great sense of humour. The ability to read music is a definite asset. A modest honorarium will be provided.
