Ticket Policies

All tickets are a final sale. You can listen to the Audio Play of your choosing at any point during the “run” of the show. There’s no need to exchange your ticket for a different date – just listen at your own pace!

  1. How much do tickets cost?

Tickets start at $18 for individual shows. Additional adults are $10 and additional children are $5. For more savings, Play Packs are available for individuals and families.

  1. Where are you located?

Carousel Theatre for Young People is located on Granville Island in Vancouver. Our administration offices, theatre school and rehearsal studios are located at 1411 Cartwright Street on Granville Island.

Our office is right across the street from the Waterfront Theatre, where we stage most of our plays. Please visit individual play pages to confirm their location.

  1. Is there parking near your theatre?

Yes, there is parking. Granville Island has several pay parking lots and many free parking spots that are available for a maximum of 3 hrs before 7pm. Granville Island is a popular destination in Vancouver, especially on weekends, so do leave yourself plenty of time to find parking. It also easily accessible by walking, biking, transit, or using a car share program. Click here to see a map of Granville Island

  1. What is the running time of your performances?

The actual running time varies depending on the production. Please visit individual play pages for exact running times. Audio Plays run approximately 30 minutes. 

  1. Can I exchange my tickets for another performance?

There are no exchanges for Audio PLAY tickets. Your ticket is valid for the entire “run” of the show. For exact dates, please see individual play pages. 

  1. Do children perform in your productions?

Carousel Theatre for Young People’s mainstage productions are performed by professional adult actors. Occasionally, there may be a child actor in the cast depending on the production. These children are also professional actors.

  1. What are your office hours?

Our administrative offices are open for ticket sales Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The Box Office at The Waterfront Theatre opens 1 hour prior to showtime.

  1. Do you have wheelchair seating?

Yes. We do have wheelchair seating for our performances. Please call our Box Office at 604-685-6217 and let us know your seating needs at the time of your booking.

  1. My schedule has changed. Can I get a refund on my tickets?

All ticket sales are final. As long as you contact us at least 24 hrs prior to the date of your performance, we will happily exchange your tickets for another performance of the same show. An exchange fee of $7.50 applies on the order.

  1. How do you find your actors?

Carousel Theatre for Young People is a professional theatre company, and we hire actors who are members of the Canadian Actors Equity Association under the terms of the Canadian Theatre Agreement. Each June, Carousel Theatre for Young People holds general auditions for the upcoming season. Play specific auditions are held by invitation only. If you would like to be considered for an audition please email your headshot, resume and cover letter to auditions@carouseltheatre.ca

  1. How can I get involved?

We welcome volunteers! If you have some extra time and would like to usher, assist with mailouts, or help with fundraising activities, please give us a call or visit the Volunteer page on our website by clicking here. You can also get involved by becoming a Member of Carousel Theatre Society.

  1. Do you accept the Access 2 Card?

We sure do! To book tickets with an Access 2 Card simply call the box office at (604) 685-6217. Please note, all tickets are pending availability.
