How much are your tickets?

For our 2022/23 Season, we are returning to tiered ticket prices! Kids (Under 18) - $18 Seniors (Over 65) & Post-Secondary Students - $29 Adults - $35

Where are you located?

Carousel Theatre for Young People is located on Granville Island in Vancouver. Our administration offices, theatre school and rehearsal studios are located at 1411 Cartwright Street on Granville Island. Our office is right across the street from the Waterfront Theatre, where we stage most of our plays. Please visit individual play pages to confirm their location.

What are the run times of your performances?

The actual running time varies depending on the production. Please visit individual play pages for exact running times.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is parking. Granville Island has several pay parking lots and many free parking spots that are available for a maximum of 3 hrs before 7pm. Granville Island is a popular destination in Vancouver, especially on weekends, so do leave yourself plenty of time to find parking. It also easily accessible by walking, biking, transit, or using a car share program.

What are your office hours?

Our administrative offices are open for ticket sales Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. The Box Office at The Waterfront Theatre opens 1 hour prior to showtime.

Can I exchange my tickets for another show?

If your family is feeling unwell, or there is a personal emergency, please call our Box Office at 604-685-6217, or email us at info@carouseltheatre.ca and we will do what we can to exchange your tickets to another show!

Do you have accessible seating/other accessibility policies?

Yes. We do have wheelchair seating for our performances! There is, however, a limited number of wheelchair-accessible/mobility device accessible seats. At all performances, Carousel is working to create an accessible environment for as many theatregoers as possible. If you have any accessibility needs, including an Access2 Pass, please feel free to email CTYP at info@carouseltheatre.ca or call our Box Office Line at 604-685-6217 as soon as you can after ticket purchasing and we would be more than happy to discuss how we can meet your accessibility needs. Carousel Theatre also has a relaxed come-and-go policy. If for any reason you or your child need to leave the theatre for a moment, our Front of House Staff will work to escort you back into the theatre as soon as possible, though potentially not back to your exact spot.

Do you accept access 2 cards?

We sure do! To book tickets with an Access 2 Card simply call the box office at (604) 685-6217. Please note, all tickets are pending availability.

My schedule has changed, can I get a refund on my ticket?

All ticket sales are final. As long as you contact us at least 24 hrs prior to the date of your performance, we will happily exchange your tickets for another performance of the same show. An exchange fee of $7.50 will be applied on your order.

How do you find your actors?

Carousel Theatre for Young People is a professional theatre company, and we hire actors who are members of the Canadian Actors Equity Association under the terms of the Canadian Theatre Agreement. Each June, Carousel Theatre for Young People holds general auditions for the upcoming season. Play specific auditions are held by invitation only. If you would like to be considered for an audition please email your headshot, resume and cover letter to auditions@carouseltheatre.ca

Do children perform in your productions?

Carousel Theatre for Young People’s mainstage productions are performed by professional adult actors. Occasionally, there may be a child actor in the cast depending on the production. These children are also professional actors.
