A Very Good Comedy Camp
July 28 – August 1
9 am to 12 pm
This comedy camp is the perfect place to start for kids aged 9-13 who are interested in improv, comedy, and having fun on stage! Each week, the group will learn how to play fun characters, listen to each other’s offers and create fun scenes together. Students will practice their performance skills and be encouraged to riff, laugh and be silly throughout.
This is a great class for students who are comfortable on stage or still getting used to expressing themselves. Everyone will feel very welcomed and supported in this course by one of Blind Tiger Comedy’s most experienced youth teachers, Syd Campbell.
This camp is a glorious collaboration between Carousel and the incredible team at Bling Tiger Comedy! Hop into this camp and then check out their full season of programming for young folks!
The course will primarily focus on improv and theatre games, but participants will dip their toes into sketch comedy and writing. The course will wrap up with a short, fun improv show. Fun guaranteed!
Registration for these classes is through Blind Tiger Comedy's friendly team, who handle their ticketing through Eventbrite. Register for the class here.
A Very Good Teen Comedy Camp
July 28-August 1
1 pm to 4 pm
“With improv, it’s a combination of listening and not trying to be funny. “- KRISTEN WIIG
This course for 13 to 17 year olds is the comedy camp the entire Blind Tiger Comedy faculty wishes we’d had when we were growing up. Led by pro comedian and teen educator Allie Entwistle (Co-Director of Improv Camp, former BrainBoost teacher), this course will offer deep dives into the skills and delights of improvising comedy.
Each day, the group will learn the skills and techniques of comedy-first improv, moving from the fundamentals to more advanced concepts as the week progresses, from how to make great offers to how to gracefully edit from one scene to another.
This camp is a glorious collaboration between Carousel and the incredible team at Blind Tiger Comedy! Hop into this camp and then check out their full season of programming for young folks!
Students do not need to have comedy experience to take this class, and those that do have experience will have plenty to enjoy as well.
